BIO

Peter Desberg

Having spent 44 years as a University Professor, here are a few things that helped Peter Desberg succeed. He has a distinguished research background in the Psychology of Humor, although he never lets it intrude in his writing. He earned a license in Clinical Psychology so he can legally help people deal with Stage Fright. He obtained a Black Belt to help get to the parking lot at night.

He’s had 24 books published so a martial arts background also helps on the occasions when he’s met any of his readers. He hosted a cable TV show for a decade discussing technology. Dr. Desberg is currently writing a great deal of historical fiction because he likes not having to worry about arguing with the people he’s writing about.

BOOK REVIEWS

This story completely captivated me—I couldn’t put it down. I’m adding this book to the high school library because its universal themes and lessons resonate with everyone.

BLAIR RANDELL

From the very first chapter, I was hooked and couldn’t put it down. The subject is fascinating and feels just as timely and relevant today as it did over a century ago. I loved the blend of humor and the many twists and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat.

ANDREW FERNANDEZ

Not only is this a fascinating story, but it also offers intriguing insights into the history of the Chinese—what they endured in this country and what brought them to America. The characters are delightful, and the author’s sense of humor shines throughout. I really hope there’s a sequel!
